CRED raises $ 251 million in Series E with a valuation of over $ 4 billion

The credit card payment app CRED raised 251 million US dollars in its Series E round and valued the fintech startup at 4.01 billion US dollars. The round was jointly chaired by existing investors Tiger Global and Falcon Edge.

The company has also added two new investors to its London-based Marshall Wace and Steadfast Venture Capital. DST Global, Insight Partners, Coatue, Sofina, RTP and Dragoneer also took part in the round.

This funding round nearly doubles CRED’s valuation after raising $ 215 million in its Series D round in April at a valuation of $ 2.2 billion.
